The Government of Panama congratulated Mia Mottley on her third consecutive term as Prime Minister of Barbados following a decisive election victory where her party won all parliamentary seats.

Mia Mottley has become the first woman to lead the government of Barbados and once again secured all 30 seats in the Legislative Assembly, leaving the opposition without representation. The Government of Panama, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, congratulated Mia Mottley on her resounding victory in the general elections in Barbados, where she assumed her third consecutive term as Prime Minister. Panama highlighted Mottley's commitment to fighting poverty, strengthening democratic institutions, and improving public services, noting that her administration aims for an inclusive and sustainable development for the Barbadian people. President José Raúl Mulino sent his best wishes for this new phase and reiterated the intention to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship, cooperation, and dialogue between the two nations. The 60-year-old Mottley is once again making history in her country.
