CTO Confirms Caribbean Tourism Remains Open

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and its 25 member destinations confirm that tourism in the region remains open with solid bookings. Despite recent events, flights and cruises within the region continue to operate normally, while advance reservations show a positive and abundant trend. For the present year, the region has adopted the theme 'One Caribbean: Infinite Experiences', an initiative aimed at projecting a unified and diverse destination. The organization emphasizes that Caribbean tourism offers infrastructure ranging from world-class resorts and boutique hotels to eco-adventures, supported by the characteristic hospitality of its people. The institutional declaration highlights that the region provides a safe environment to explore beaches, heritage festivals, and high-level gastronomy. The flexibility of the hotel sector in supporting guests affected by recent contingencies was also recognized. The CTO urges travelers to maintain their visit plans, ensuring that destinations are ready to offer a hassle-free experience. After addressing the disruptions travelers experienced due to the temporary closure of airspace last weekend, the organization highlighted the region's ability to manage external factors without affecting the industry's continuity. The CTO thanked the collaborating airlines for increasing their capacity to facilitate passenger transport.
